Tenancy Application Information
In order to apply for a property please complete all required information in the application form.
- ONLINE APPLICATION FORM You can either fill in the online application using the 1 Form application system. (a new window will open) or
Print out the application form and fax or post back to the appropriate office. (Right mouse click and "Save Target As" to save a copy to your hard disk.)

Applications will only be processed after confirmation of inspection of the property.
Please note that you do need to have inspected the property before submitting this application and an application needs to be submitted separately by each adult occupying the property.

All applicants will be required to provide 100 points of identification as that need to accompany this application as listed below:

Security deposit & rental payments
A security deposit and first month’s rent must be paid in advance. The security deposit will be held in trust and must be made payable to the R.T.B.A (Residential Tenancies Bond Authority)
Reference letters & documentation
- Reference Letters - You will need references to accompany your application. Any reference from previous landlords will help with your application.
- Pay Slips - The inclusion of payslips, bank statements and proof of employment will help us to ascertain your ability to pay rent.
- Pet References - If you own a pet, please include a pet reference from your current landlord or agency.
- Cover Letters - You may wish to include a cover letter with your application outlining why you would be a good tenant for the property.
The application process
Once your application has been received Pride Real Estate’s property management department will asses it . Please ensure that all fields are completed in detail
so we can process your application promptly and refer it to the property owner for consideration. It is our aim to come back to you within 24 hours.
You will then be contacted by the relevant property manager and advised of the outcome.
If your application is successful, you will be asked to make an appointment with the property manager to sign the leases and make payment of the security deposit and the first month’s rent.
Free utility-connection service
If you require electricity, gas, phone, water, broadband or Pay TV connection when you move in, we can help. Just fill out the free utility–connection
section on the application form for either the St Kilda or Elwood office. It is best to request connection for one day prior to moving in, as electricity
connections can occur at any time on the requested day.
Important Information regarding electricity connection
The main electrical switch at the rental property must be switched ‘OFF’ before the electricity can be connected (sometimes a second switchboard is installed
Inside the property, and this must also be switched to OFF’) Connections will not occur if the main switch is left in the ‘ON’ position on the day of the connection.
Although Pride Real Estate can assist with turning the switch ‘OFF’ on some occasions, ultimately it is the obligation of the tenant, not the agent, to ensure this has been done.
